Packing list for weeklong tour

12 days and counting down. I've still got a few things listed as question marks, but my packing list is pretty much set. If you're interested, see here. I know it's probably overkill by many people's standards. Maybe I'll be a minimalist on the next one. Experience will tell.

Have fun! You carry a bunch of stuff I'd leave home, but if it works for you that is fine. You are still lighter than the majority of folks I see on the road.

It sounds like a fairly well thought out list. That said I will ask... Will it be colder weather or something? If not I don't see why you would need any more clothes since you already had spares of everything on your last trip.

Ten days out, they're projecting lows in the high 50s and highs in the mid to high 70s.

Maybe what I wrote is confusing. In addition to carrying one extra cycling kit (jersey, shorts, socks), I'm carrying one pair of convertible pants, undies, two T-shirts (long and short sleeve), and the flip-flops. I'm basically carrying two of everything except for the pants. I don't mind washing at all, but getting things to dry down there in the humidity is my worry. Even in north Alabama, I've had to climb back into wet clothes the next morning. If I wasn't worried about that, I'd just carry one cycling kit and the street clothes and wash/dry the other while the one is on.
