Munda Biddi Trail officially opened

If you are looking for a little adventure downunder, the Munda Biddi Trail was officially opened by Environment Minister Albert Jacob on Sunday April 28, 2013 at a Festival of Cycling event in Mundaring. To mark the opening, Mr Jacob waved the 26 Welldrill Munda Biddi Epic riders over the finish line after a three week, 1000km journey that started in Albany on April 7, 2013.

The riders completed the first end to end ride of the iconic trail, which is the world's longest, most continous off-road cycle trail.

Mr Jacob, a keen cyclist said he was delighted to celebrate the completion of the project which first started 12 years ago, and looked forward to riding the Munda Biddi.

More details at the Munda Biddi Foundation website.

I was just filing some of our travel stuff, and came across a brochure we picked up about the Munda Biddi trail when we were in Albany in January. We really liked Albany, and it is definitely on our list of places to return to. We'll have to keep this trail in mind.
