Nasbar touring frame owners - cage mounts need replacing

Hey all, the frame inserts which are used to mount the water bottles (I call them riv nuts) have rusted on my Nashbar frame (salt water will do that) and I had to yank one out. Has anybody replaced these? I don't know where to get them or what the actual size is. Thank you.

If it's a Nashbar product I would probably call Nashbar. They will probably know best about their product and direct part replacements.

hillsbreakme, Search for rivnut on the 'net and you'll find several sources.

Bottle cage bolts? I think they're M5 x 10mm (or maybe 12mm).

I often buy frame-building supplies from Nova Cycle Supply, among others. Looks like they have you covered for bottle boss rivet nuts. As I recall, their shipping on small parts is a bit expensive. You might be able to obtain the same thing faster or cheaper from an industrial supply store (Enco, Grainger, Fastenal, MSC Industrial Supply, etc), especially if there's one in your area. For "generic" parts like this, I often find that Grainger or Fastenal is the cheapest option because they'll ship items to a local store for free.

Try any LBS that sells Cannondale. Many stock C'dale repair kits, which include the rivnuts you need (they are not manufacturer-specific).
