Shipwreck, what's the drive train on that beauty? It looks like a unique triple up front and what's that biggest cog on the rear? I know I needed my 24 x34 when I was climbing those little "bumps" in northern AR. Nice photo btw.

Robow, Just an old half step biopace crank. 24, 46, 52. The rear is a shimano mega range seven speed with a jump from 28 to 34. Its nice having some stump pullers for gears, but I also really like having some tall gears. This set up works for me, and it was cheap. No one likes half step, so I have several laying around. Now that I am home again a suntour five speed(13-34) freewheel and lighter wheelset is going back on it.

Shenandoah National Park and Skyline drive...2012. I biked from the start of the drive to Big Meadows where i camped in my Hammock, then cycled back the next day. It was a nice enjoyable time.

Patrick leading the way, about 30-40 miles from the end of our 205 mile ride from Dighton Kansas to Fowler Colorado. Somewhere between Arlington and Sugar City on 96. We hit a dust storm spun off from a tornado in the next county (which is why we look like hell below), that along with waiting for lightning ahead to pass set us back about 2 hours. In the end it was 12:40 minutes of riding. We earned the hotel that night!
Probably the most memorable ride I'll ever have. :')

Even though we just got out for two short tours this year and I don't feel like I've got a lot of great photos from them, it was still difficult to choose just one.
This was the road the last mile to the Green Cat bed and breakfast on the Kitsap Penisula in Washington State.
Very pleasant riding here! Despite locals warning of the bear in the area!

I've had Google lead me down some pretty terrible "roads" but that one takes the cake. I haven't given up on Google yet just because I like to be surprised, but I have developed a pretty hefty skepticism and will now sometimes pass on the more suspicious set of directions.

Yeah, I looked at it on sat images, but it all looked fair from above. The road actually turned into a sandy river bed for two miles, and I was lucky to find it when it turned back into pavement.
Google was a real help getting places in the city, but it does not seem to recognize that an over grown "path" or rubble strewn dark alley is less acceptable than the highway right next to it. on one route outside a city I found a new use for a flag pole other than beating off dog packs and hopefully being seen, and that's cobweb breaking, like a machete but wailing on spider webs.
I think that I will continue to use google as a tool, but being more careful about it.

There are so many incredible tours and photos here. My hat goes off to all of you.
My contribution is from a spot called Jacob's Ladder in Ben Lomond National Park in Tasmania. The entire island is stunning but this spot stood out among the rest. My blog has lots more photos if anyone is interested.

2013 C&O Canal. Lock house 25. Spent the night inside, with no electricity or running water. Had a great time. I have many many awesome pictures, but this is my favorite.

Took a tour with my 12 and 15 year old girls in summer 2012, and this was taken in Cheboygan, MI. They wanted Dairy Queen, but I pushed them (us) to find a local place. The Big Dipper, awesome!

This is probably my favorite from my tour a few weeks ago. Looking back as I am heading up the west slope of Gibbons Pass outside of Sula, MT. Always remember to take a look back now and then.
