Kona Rove

Does anyone here have the Kona Rove? I'd like to hear your impressions of it, as I am considering it for my next bike. I want a nice all rounder that I can use for getting the groceries and around town, hit the gravel roads, and load it up for week long trips. Let me know how it works for you. Thanks!

I just built one up from frame. My plans are for touring in near future and I put front and rear racks on it. The bike is essentially a Sutra for 2014 (their touring bike), same frame. It only has one set of rack holes at drop-outs, I still managed to get fenders and racks on it. The bike is quite heavy but still perfect for around town, it truly is an all-round bike, not set up for perfect tourer or cyclocross bike, right in between. I went with bar-end shifters for maintenance reasons, simple. I have the lime-green 2013 frame, has a funky head-set that only FSA makes, odd size and only available through a bike shop-order, found out the hard way. The 2014 went to normal size headset.

Wow, was that frame $2k in a shop?

Your link is to the titanium frame. It sounds like jeepseahawk built the steel frame, 2013 model. The 2014 model complete bike retails for about $1700 and the 2014 titanium frame is $1,999 (frame only). I'm also looking extensively at this bike, but I don't have any direct experience other than having ridden it at the bike shop on a trainer. I do like the way it felt, and I like the way the complete bike is spec'd. I think it will be my next commuter/winter/light touring bike, and I'm trying to decide between titanium and steel. I may also have it retrofitted with S&S couplers to make it a convenient travel bike.
