8 weeks, Wester Loop TBD - input requested on Weather / Routes
Hello. I have a window of time for about 8 +/ weeks to head out from Boulder, CO starting June 1st. As this has been a great snow year (in CO), I'm concerned about many passes, but I've been in S. UT in May and it is miserable. I'm not in need of making a loop, more just out for fun and adventure. I might make my way to Portland, ORE.
Any thoughts on June weather and a route? I'm thinking big strokes at the moment, details will be sorted out when snow actually stops falling.
Currently, I'm thinking of two possibly options heading
[a] (warm / quick run off / openning of passes) Boulder > Salida, CO > Durango > Provo > Boise > Bend, OR > Portland.
[b] (cool spring, closed passes) Boulder > Colorado Springs > La Veta > Alamosa > Durango > Albuquerque > Sedona > Cal. Coast > tbd
[c] your ideas
