Thanks for posting this. I'll be doing this at the beginning of June as part of a tour. What temps do you think we should expect that time of year, and do you think it'll be particularly busy by then? Difficulty finding rooms? And can you do any camping outside of the towns? We'll have all of our gear and plan to camp as much as possible on the tour since money will be a limited resource.

i done it with a group on road bikes stayed in hotels, to be honest it felt like cheating a bit but never the less i enjoyed every pedal stroke.i don't think you would have problems wild camping just stock up on food and water before your choose a spot for the night.weather in june would be hot like very hot we done it in september and boy some of the days was scortching but then again i'm from ireland so not used to hot summers..lovely country and lovely people wine and food are cheap oh btw you could do worse than to check out the film THE WAY it give the route of the camino and not a bad film.baun camino .

1+. Bit more contrived drama than I wanted, but does capture the mystique of the Camino.

have friends , lacking time to walk the length , left in the middle , then came back later to start at that point.

found a northern Scottish Abbey which was also part of the pilgrims way ..

I walked it in sept 2010. Amazing experience . Every time I see photos I get emotional because it did change my life in certain aspects. If it wasn't such a "luxury" I'd go back just to remember the things that the Camino taught me and forget about life as we (me) live it over here...

I can post some pics if you guys are interested!
