My New Light Touring Bike/Tour from Sweden via Harwich, UK

I'm planning to bicycle to Birmingham, England from Gothenburg in Sweden this summer and I've just recently finished equipping my new bicycle, I made a write-up about it here New Touring Bike and I went slightly over my £1000 budget by 10%. As I'm still fairly new to touring I'd appreciate some feedback and comments about any further changes I might need to do to prepare my bicycle and also if anyone has done the same/similar route, in particular going from Harwich in England to the West Midlands, where to stop/stay, how long it took etc.

The tour back is a trial-run, prelude to doing a european tour in the summer, in particular I'm interested in the Prague-Vienna-Budapest route as I've got friends in the first and last places. Any recommendations/tips/blogs for those would be good too.

FWIW a couple swedish Lads passed thru this town last November, mid month.

they started in Anchorage Alaska , I'm just across the Columbia River..

they were on step thru frame commuting bikes with a shimano 8 speed internal gear hub.

A corespondent in Norway thought they may have been from this company

when I Met them, and saw their bikes my first response was , brilliant ! ,
you dont have to swing your leg over the rear rack load every time you mount the bike..

they were to continue down the Pacific Coast , then across the southern states to Florida..

If it was me I'd make the front chainrings 46/34 instead of 50/34 otherwise it looks great.

the North Sea route is very easy to ride, with good campsites.
Harwich to the West Midlands can be done using Sustrans roues,
