I just got the current model of the Lightning 2 UL to use for bike touring. I haven't been out on the bike yet with it, but have slept two nights in the backyard. It is very easy to setup, a "comfortably cozy" 2-person, very roomy 1-person tent, with lots of sit-up room. I like the hybrid double / single wall design in how it does reduce the overall weight, and simplify the setup / take-down of the tent.

Because of two integrated awning poles, it is easier to just roll the tent and use the provided stuff-sack, so it is pretty close to the 6 x 16 advertised packed size. You could remove those awning poles / reinsert them, if you wish to try a compression stuff sack instead. The design of the dual vestibules is also interesting. While I appreciate the intent of providing for more direct ventilation (front to back), I'll need to get used to accessing my gear from the sides of the tent, versus via the entrance directly. I'm looking forward to my first trips this summer!

nah that tent would never work for me, to many poles.fly to high off the ground no vestibule to speak of, good gust of wind and it's history.
but its light and it does pack small so not all bad.

In its standard configuration, there are three poles, but they are all connected via two hubs. For two people, the total vestibule capacity may be an issue, but for me traveling solo, it is more than enough room for my gear. I am able to easily fit my four bicycle panniers under them. I still have to see how the tent holds up in a wind storm, it does guy out pretty tightly though.

it should work out fine for you ,you sould like a very experience camper where as me i'm a total fred.well im off to me cot its late here in rainy ireland.god will we ever see some sunshine.
