Beaches to Bluegrass Trail

Virginia, we are a few more steps closer to to a new Trans Virginia trail running from the Cumberland Gap to the resort area of Virginia Beach. A route that is to be both a hiking trail with an on road component that is tentatively mapped. The Virginia DCR has issue a draft master plan and is looking for comments.

The listed link will have a section that provides for a KZML file for the on road cycling map. Folks who are coming east bound on the Trans Am, will meet the B2B in Damascus, Va. The B2B will take you across south side Virginia directly to the Atlantic Ocean, minimizing the climbing you would experience on Rt 76.

Curious as to your opinions.
