Finished Cannondale ST500 and ST400 LL Bean

Worked on the 1985 ST500 on and off this fall. Bought as a frame only with rack, BB, headset. Painted rack to match. Added Deore drivetrain and Shimano crank. All original paint on frame. Cannondale top tube decal was almost warn off so I just polished the rest of it off. 1987 ST400 LL Bean was filthy and after 25 hrs of spit and polish it looks great. Upgraded crank to Sugino triple using stock derailleurs and it shifts perfect. Also, the stock bottom bracket spindle hit the chainline perfect with the Sugino. Technomic TTT stem was already on it so I just left it. My wife will use this as her casual bike. She already rides an ST1000 for touring. Acquired a couple other bikes that I'll post in the future (Schwinn Voyageur, Fuji S10) FUN!

good bike cleaning job..

At least a packed Pannier on a rear rack will help protect the RD, those old C'Dales didn't have replaceable Dropout Hanger eyelets .

Nice! I especially like the blue one. I'm looking for a Cannondale touring frame myself.
