I met Jack Taylor in the 1980s

Seems like a very interesting fellow - do tell.

Around 1978 I was picking up a Claud Butler Majestic (my first touring bike) from a local bike shop. I was 17 and my Dad was with me to write the check. There was on old guy chatting to the owner and he turned out to be Jack Taylor. He looked at my bike and said that he thought it was a good choice. In the car my Dad told me who Jack Taylor was.

That was well worth watching… Music wasn't my taste but it wasn't inappropriate either, hard to think what would get across the sense of gracefulness that they're trying to portray. Queen's "Bicycle" certainly wouldn't do it. (Nor would The Mixtures…)

Thinking about some of the points it touched on: I take it as a matter of personal pride that I do the vast majority of my weekly commuting by bicycle. I'll average around 100-120km a week, no more than 20km of that is in a car. So at worst 80% is bicycle.
