New track frame - almost done
Progress on new track frame ---
Almost ready for paint as soon as the fork is ready
----- the sloping top tube, integrated seat mast and tapered head tube may not be everybody's cup a' tea , but should make for a rock solid platform for my large, slow, and somewhat old self
Should be fun ---- basically just stole the geometry specs from my Waterford, which was working fine, but lengthened the head tube a bit due to my back issues and beer belly

Lapped 3x
I saw the freehub tools in the background near the HT, and thought "WTF kind of braze-ons are those?". It's been a long Friday, lol.

Not me -- a local to me framebuilder, He hasnt built many track frames as the primary custom market here is single speed mountain bikes and gravel bikes.
I assisted in specc'ing the tubing a bit- mainly just saying i wanted it oversize, thinwall, and with a big tapered headtube
The fork , although not pictured, is a bit oversize to mate with the steerer, but is an otherwise standard looking straight blade unicrown
I couldnt help but share a pic of it in the raw.
The guy's workmanship is top notch, but i want to see how it rides first, then i'll shout his name from a mountaintop-- im thinking though, since we went with proven geometry, and just minor tweaks at my request for a better fit, it should work out fine.
My only reservations are that it may be too stiff - the downtube is pretty significant, -- but then again, i did tell him that i wanted a "Clydesdale specific" build, and its not as if it will ever get used for a metric century charity ride , its a track bike

Definitely not trying to re-invent the wheel there went with pretty standard (for a smaller size) 74.5/74.5 with a 55 bb drop
size is equivalent to a 53 with a 55 top tube
-- a bit longer steerer tube so I don't have to run a ridiculous spacer stack , and just a little bit longer than standard TT (virtual top tube in this case)
I'm crossing my fingers it works --- if it doesn't , -we'll build another one ! LOL

My fears were that either the handling would be wonky with the longer TT, the rear triangle would flex under my massive quads [cue lightning strike], or the dropouts would allow the rear wheel to slip during standing starts. And none of those things have happened.
