Track tubulars
Probably covered before but some help needed with tyre choice. What tubulars are recommended for a high quality wooden track? Using a FFWD front and Mavic Comete rear disc.
Bad past experiences with two blowouts on some Vittoria tubulars so really prefer to avoid that brand.
Considering a set of Continental Sprinters.......a good choice or not? If not what would you recommend??
Also what width? 19 or 22mm?
Thanks.....

This thread: Track Tire Questions has a lot of info you're looking for.
Personally, I've opted for Continental Podium TT 22mm tires for this season. I race on a concrete and wood track, so I wanted something with a little more beef.

Sprinters are a heavy road tire. I used to train on them on a wooden track and switched to competitions because the sprinters rode like bricks.
If you want to go continental their track tubulars are the Tempo II and the Sonderklasse. There's a track tire thread stickied with lots of info.

Yeah I would avoid the sprinters, I use them on my training wheels as they're bulletproof, but they are heavy af
You said you didn't want to go with vittoria but I recommend their new G+ range
