So...How did you do?
Some of you are finishing States, Regionals, Nationals, etc...
First-timers, was it what you expected?
Any PBs? Flops? Stories? Tall tales?
It's not bragging if someone asks you and you simply reply

I absolutely crushed the track State championship, nabbing that sweet sweet mini USAC gold medal.
(now, just don't look any deeper into that statement and it'll sound impressive)
Flop might not be the right word... but it wasn't my best performance. I had forgotten that you actually have to battle the track at DLV! I was butt clenching the whole way through t3/4 every lap in aerobars.
Of course no wiping out on that track, then two weeks ago my front tyre blows going into t1 at Rock Hill and I eat it at the top of the track and do the slide of shame. So my flop is 2 weeks (so far) with a bum hip and no riding

I saved my worst for nationals. Hit the sponge on my 200 and put up my worst or second worst 200 time ever. (I don't remember my times into the hundredths of seconds.) Still, I managed to make it into the quarter finals of the sprint tournament by winning the rep round, And did well in the 5-8 round, but got nipped at the line.
My kilo is not worth discussing.

Finished a big block of racing.
June UCI racing at TTown. 3 Top 5's, including a 3rd in the final Keirin event. Lost to Godby in a quarter final match sprint by a tire in a photo finish. Ranked top 100 in the world now, which is neat.
July Cascadia Cup at Alpenrose and Jerry Baker. Set 3 track records (200m and flying lap at Alpenrose; 200m at Jerry Baker). Won the overall sprint omnium and a bunch of the events (Alpenrose: 500m, Chariot, Team Sprint, and Keirin; 2nd in Match Sprint...Marymoor GP: Team Sprint and Match Sprint, 2nd in 500m).
This might be enough to get a USAC upgrade to Cat 1.
Unfortunately my dumb ass celebrated a little too much after winning the match sprint in 3...had both hands off the bars...and promptly lost my front wheel in the worst crash I've ever been in. Currently nursing a separated shoulder and fractured scapula. ...hard lesson learned. Working on recovering before my nationals in Sept and starting on the World Cup (hopefully) in Oct.
Currently sitting on the 200m record at 4 tracks (Giordana, Dick Lane, Alpenrose, and Jerry Baker)

I did pretty well.
I PR'ed my 500 with a 43.7, to the world record holder's (60+ women) 43.6, and the winner's 43.01. Bronze.
In the 200, I took a crappy line off the banking and still bested my time at Worlds by a hair, 14.72. I was shooting for the high 13's.
In the match sprint duels, I beat the current world champion in the first ride, and then went to sleep in the second. She beat me in three. Silver.
In the 2k, NOT my event (my coach didn't want me to ride it), I rode a leisurely 3:24 and took silver.
In the team sprint, my partner and I rode a 58.207, thought we had won it (we assumed the kids who ultimately beat us by 1.5 seconds had been DSQ'ed for illegal equipment), but ended up taking silver. That was bitter. We thought we had a record for 65+ masters women in the team sprint on a 333, but we found out that's not tracked. So, we inquired about a track record at T-Town for 65+ women. That's not tracked either. We were comforted a little by the knowledge that the team who beat us were ten and twenty two years younger than us, and ONLY got us by 1.5 seconds.
It was a great experience. Building for Worlds.
@southernfox, heal fast, woman!!

Had a pretty underwhelming set of races at T-Town. Got in a break of 4 in the Scratch. On the last lap, a rider from the back made it up to us and boxed me in just as I tried to launch my sprint. Tried to make up 3 bike lengths w/ 200 to go and failed.
Worked for my team mate in the points race.
Should have won the team pursuit handily if we had a semi organized team, but we ended getting dropped on the 3rd lap. We chased for 3 laps, at which point 2 of us cracked so we cruised it in.
Despite being the strongest pair on paper, my team mate crashed in the Madison.
