Are fixie conversions allowed to ride at veleodromes?
Do any of you race your conversions?
Do the "cool kids" pick on you for racing your conversions?

Yes but some places require you to remove the brake *levers*, others are just happy with the cables disconnected. Many places do not permit quick releases. Also if your conversion does not have drop bars (ie pursuit bars or straight bars), usually you will not be permitted to do any mass start events.
