Hellyer closed for the near future...

Due to extensive storm damage, Hellyer Veladrome is closed for the near future.
Info from the Hellyer maillist...

Here is an update from John Simmons. John talked to a
park maintenance person at the track today. And he
will talk to the rangers tomorrow, but he confirmed
what Kevin and Peter said. At this point, the
velodrome is closed to everyone, no riding or repair.
They still have to cut down a tree that is up, but
splintered. Some wires are down and PG&E needs to
repair them. So till this is done we need to stay out
of their way. It may look safe, but lets wait for the
go ahead from the rangers.

Since we have not been assured of any completion date
for this please consider the track closed this week
including the upcoming Saturday beginner session(1/14/06) and
Sunday Junior Session.

We will email the lists when the track is opened to
start repairs and then when the track is ready to ride
again. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your
support and patience.
