'Kick track ass' advice needed...

Okay, I've done a few track races on two evenings over the last month. I've found that I can keep up with the A-Graders but usually come last, and kick the asses of the B-Graders. So I'm in this no mans land between grades.

The local carnivals where everyone competes in about 8 weeks away...

What can I do to get a 5% jump in endurance and power in this time?

I already commute 3 x per week for endurance and do some weights for power.

I'm progressing okay but I need something a little 'extra' that isn't horse steroids or anything shtyoopid.

I need a magic bullet!! Please help!!

i know the feeling all to well. i say, train as you would and race the A's. it will only make you faster. sooner or later you'll be on top of the A field.

stop the weight lifting a week or two before competition.
work on muscle endurance. ride uphills in big gears seated.

Do all of that stuff above aswell as sprinting down hills on a lighter gear. Crank the leg speed wayyyyyy up. Its like cheap motor pacing.

And dont forget rest!
