Frame suggestions + spinning
Ive postd here before and I posted on the FG/SS forum, but since these forums sometimes overlap and some ppl post on one forum and not the other, Id like to post here to.
Im looking for a steel frame with track geometry. Frame of good quality? Frame of good value?
Lol basically looking for two suggestions. One for quality and one for value as the above implies.
Secondly, I had posted a thread here that is still active, asking what to do if i wanted to get into track racing etc.
My current gearing for street is 48/15. Im fairly comfortable with it since I push it on the streets daily. As a beginner, would you recommend that I go to something higher? Like I know that the pro levels are like 4:1 and higher.
Thanks in advance.

I don't see why you started another thread for basicly the same topic... Buy the good stuff to begin with, it will last longer and save you money in the end. As for gearing, to start out with buy a set of cogs, since there cheaper than chainrings as well as a couple rings. This is my first season, I was told to buy a set of cogs (13t,14t,15t, and 16t Dura-Ace) and a 49t and 50t to go with my 48t. For different types of events you will want a slightly higher or lower gearing.
