2R is super exciting. My fav so far. No big crashes or anything crazy, but intense from start to finish.

I've watched these videos before and I have a question. Do people actually ride like that on the street (in the drag race video), or do people usually follow traffic regulations? Personally, I run stop signs/lights all the time in my small college town, but they may crack down on it in the city. Thoughts?

I don't ride quite that aggressively, but yeah, i run lites and stop signs all the time. the size of my balls is growing too, so i'm starting to ride between lanes of traffic downtown.

Fixed gear street races get intense. Especially Monster Track which usually ends up being the largest one of the year. If you're in a group of 15 kids, you'll make it through any light, just don't be the first and don't be the last. That and the video looks more intense than the reality - sure you have close calls, but that's the nature of brakeless city riding, it's more fun that way.

I've crashed three times on a mtb going less than 3mph, each time on the sidewalk w/dirty looks from peds & cops. Now I bomb everything on a road conversion running as many reds as possible to stay 5 steps ahead of latte' drinkin' cagers on cells. Cops give me thumbs up and waves now. Respect.

Really bummed I can't get the Windows MP to work on my Mac Mini with Tiger 10.4. Wish Microsoft would get off its a$$.

The good news is I have a wound-up track fork on my ride now.

I have ridden crazier than on those Dig vids, sure. Throwin' down DC's Fastest Messenger 3 times. Still roll brakeless riding fixed nearly every day age 35. Scared myself bad a few times just today. For sure better to run the red and get ahead. But take care and see everything and leave yourself a way out. Don't do things blind, or eventually you'll suffer.

I suggest the pacer has a look at the UCI rules for pacing.

I'm telling ya, there's more drama in three weeks of the Tour de France than a year of Days of Our Lives.
