Group Track Training Ideas

I’m starting a weekly track training group for women new or who are returning to the track.

Any suggestions of things I could do to help them:

Learn basic track skills
  • Get track fit
  • Build confidence; and
  • Have some fun!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I think track safety should be at the top of that list. Rider awareness of where other are and such. Is this a clinic for skills training and basics? It's hard to host a clinic when riders range from completely new to seasoned riders.

Thanks IvyCap. It's learning the basics and progressing from there.

-Get comfortable on the bike
-Get comfortable on the track
After some off bike instruction, an open easy passed "free" ride could get this accomplished.

-Get comfortable riding close
A two wide paceline is a good way to get this accomplished, but you may have to ease them in.
