XD sorry I didn't clarify that I'm not in the video. I meant I was in the lower category races, separate from the A group in the video. The guy on camera is a great road racer, he's like a road cat 1/2. You should check out his other videos.

Yeah, that doesn't make it right

If he's a road cat 1/2 then he should know better.

He should have been relegated to last for the race...and then got a warning for unsafe riding and passing on the apron.

I'm sure it was wonderful, and super, and all that, but I can't for the life of me, see the point of going around and around in circles! I love F1, but can't see the point of NASCAR for much the same reason. For excitement, check out the Nurburgring (old track), or Monte Carlo, or even TdF, and if you're into motocycles try the Isle of Man (Joey Dunlop).

To each his own. I don't like cheese...or pickles. I don't think they serve any good purpose and should not exist.

Then why bother even entering the track racing forum?

I presume you have the good sense to stay out of foodforums.com/cheese and foodforums.com/pickles and say "I can't or the life of me see the point of eating these foods that I do not like."

Actually I love motorcycles and cars as much as I love bikes, I can only afford a bike for now. I'll have a car in a few months and a motorcycle when I'm out of my parents house. I love the Nurburgring and plan to drive on it at least once in my lifetime, The Isle of Man videos are intense I love that race. A professional driver attempted to beat a record of the Isle of Man in a Subaru Impreza Sti and in one straight but bumpy section he lost control for a second and the car was flying at like 100mph diagonally!

I used to feel the same way about Nascar, until I saw the episode of Top Gear where Richard Hammond tries it out and finds out what it's all about. I still don't watch it but I respect it more now. If you don't watch the whole episode just watch the first 10 minutes and that shows pretty much why it's not just goi

When the guy with the camera went under the rider to pass at the finish line. I agree it was really dangerous but it sure makes the video exciting to watch.

To me that made the video the oposite of excting. Watching people win a race by riding incredably dangerously makes me angry/ tremble in fear.

Agreed we aren't racing for sheep stations and would have tried on the right, but I'd suggest it was a line ball...

Guy in front only skirts the sprinters lane very briefly on the bend and drifting back out before cutting back left only in the straight. The guy in second had already committed to the lane, so didn't have much choice once along side...

I'm with you Kayce though - made me cringe!

I'm a newcomer to the track but over the last few years have been involved with other forms of racing - crits, time trials, xc and downhill mountain biking and going round 45 degree banking in a tight bunch and trying to get in a good position for a sprint is anything but dull. Don't knock it until you've tried it - the mixture of endorphines and adrenaline is pretty damn addictive!

Great work by the Wonderful Pistachios rider(Daniel Gay?). As previously mentioned, terrible run to the line by the camera man. Yeesh.
