Peak week - feeling fatigued
Hi all! I Just started week 6 of 8 in my 10k training program. My base and build went great. I took it very easy on most runs. In the past, I had a tendency to peak early and go too hard too often. Anyways, I noticed a couple days ago that I started to feel some accumulated fatigue so I just took an extra day or 2 off figuring that would get rid of it. On my easy run yesterday, my heart rate was a but higher than normal. And Today, I have an interval run scheduled but my legs feel a little bit heavy. My question is, should I just tough it out and get through peak week and just taper as planned? Or should I take it easy and taper a little early? My fatigue symptoms just started at the beginning of peak week.

Legs that are a little bit heavy also is rather vague.
In my (humble, non-coach) opinion, I think that you should continue the plan. I think you are having difficulty because in the past you used to peak to early and you are not having that right now. Perhaps if your taper goes well you, might get the form- and fatigue/freshness-levels that make you perform at required levels...
But without knowing where you came from and where you want to go it is hard to give any substantial advice.

Thank you for the advice! I ended up continuing my workouts as normal and felt pretty good on most. There are some days where I'm a little sore or unmotivated or tired lately but I actually think I'm peaking at the right time. It's what the taper is for I suppose. I'm feeling good about my fitness this year.
I've been road biking regularly for the past 3 years, done a couple races. I like running and swimming too. But in my teens I was sedentary and unhealthy, so I'm kinda a noob
