Hands
I am relatively new to road biking and have just started riding between 15 - 20 miles. I am having hand issues..they start to hurt or go numb and I am constantly repositioning them. Any ideas?

Also you can take weight off your hands by moving your saddle back. Also notice how stretched out the riders in that link are. |

People come to cycling and have relatively poor core strength -- that is, the muscles in their back and the front of their torsos are relatively weak. Strengthening those can help you maintain a good posture on the bike. Fit is another factor (including making sure your saddle is level and not tipped down at the front) and if that is right, and your core strength is good, you should be able to ride your bike with next-to-no pressure on your hands.

Check to see that your saddle is level. I see many new riders with their saddles angled down, particularly male riders. This leads to sliding down and forward and you have to push back to counteract it.
