gels or energy without Maltodextrin
Ok big race coming up, seems i am getting reactions to my gels all of sudden
Clif brands Gels which have Maltodextrin
anyone know of any brands or any thing i can use as good compact on the bike energy source that doesn't have Maltodextrin or any proteins? thanks

Why not just try a different brand of gel. That's what I did and zillions of others and found one that worked much better.

Go here.....Crank Sports, manufacturer of e-Gel Electrolyte Energy Gel and e-Fuel Electrolyte Hydration Drink and do a comparison for all of them. Looks like Huma gel has no malto.
Another consideration would be % of malto used as far as not being palatable.

Make your own. A bit of work but at least you'll control everything that goes into it. I use this recipe and prefer variation 1. Sometimes I substitute a small, ripe banana for the grapefruit juice.
