Kurt Kinetic Rock and Roll vs CycleOp Magnus
Long story short, just share your experiences (good or bad) with any of these two trainers. If you want to read more, here is the background:
Facebook profiling is quite on target, and since a few days before Christmas it has been tagging me as someone that rides a bike AND faces a winter. Ads for the Bkool indoor trainer became more frequent, and I decided to educate myself about what is out there to reduce the boring reality of indoor trainers.
Gaming the experience seemed interesting, but BKool only opened the path to discover Zwift. I am a gamer, so I am pretty sure I will have some fun regardless of the platform.
The plot twist came only when I realized I have some store credit at my lbs, so Bkool ended up excluded from the equation.
From 17 other options, these two fall into my budget (when store credit kicks in). My main use will be to train for the 50 mile version of NYGF this May.
Thank you in advance for your time helping me with my decision. Planning on pulling the trigger on Jan. 02.

Hard to go wrong with Kurt Kinetics. I've had mine for 7 yrs with no problems (other than a broken handle which was replaced for no charge). Rock solid with excellent customer service.
I have a powermeter on my bike and use the trainer with Zwift. Thought about getting a smart trainer but can't imagine it's going to feel much different.

Hello pharding, according to me computrainers are the best thing for athletes and for those who needs to improve their cycling performance, train for competition or maintain fitness in a controlled environment. Training on computrainer can help realizing their cycling potential year round. Recently on my friend's recommendation, I have brought Racermateinc computrainer and just love training with it indoors.
