I'll throw two more ideas out there.
Tacx Neo paired with their TTS software (you get 100EU off the software if you buy the Neo). I really like the ride film choices and the Neo is their top of the line smart trainer. It can handle up to 20% grade, allows for more realistic downhill and drafting since it is regulated by magnets which also means it has some room for future features. They just released a feature that simulates the feel of cobblestones - entertaining but not a decision making feature.
The Tacx software does allow you to race against others in the films but it just uses a triangle instead of a full avatar like Zwift. The TTS software also has a virtual reality world similar to Zwift.
Personally, I like the realistic looking videos much more than the video game graphic virtual stuff. Personal preference.
The other choice for films is VeloReality. The software is free; you only pay for the films and it works with a variety of smart trainers. I tried it with my Neo. It was fine but I prefered the TTS films and interface.
