Which Interactive Trainer Would You Choose?
Been planning on picking up an interactive trainer for the winter and was waiting for a good sale planning to buy the Elite Qubo Digital Interactive Trainer. Today I got the sale email from Nashbar for 25% off so I thought I'd go ahead an make the order but when looking through the trainers I found another at the same price. Looking for advice or even opinions on which to buy. Here is links for each.....
Elite Qubo Digital Interactive Trainer
Tacx Flow Interactive Trainer
I'm looking for interactive Zwift compatible to set up in front on my big screen in the new workout room I'm building for me and my son.

Check out DC Rainmaker's trainer reviews. I own a Kickr and can't comment on either of these, other than from an analytical standpoint the particular TACX model you linked appears to be limited to 800W resistance and 6% simulated grade. That would limit you on some of the steeper Zwift courses and canned workouts. Both appear to be decent units.

Is the 2017 reviews out now? Someone in the last few days linked those 2016 reviews but I didn't see the Elite Qubo on there.

I just bought an Elite Direto, and while it's more than the ones you've mentioned, it has some advantages over the less expensive trainers (it's more mid-market, whereas Kickr and Neo are top).

Same here, I've had the Direto for a little over two weeks now and it's been fantastic. I really like how rock solid it feels due to the super wide footprint when fully extended and I'm suprised at how much more pleasant it is to ride than my old fluid trainer, the addition of the flywheel is really nice, it's extremely quiet, and it's just so much smoother which I'm attributing to it being direct drive. I already had a set of smart rollers so the smart trainer concept isn't anything new although the Direto's implementation is much better than the rollers.

Does anyone know of any good deals on a direct drive unit (ideally kickr)? I am holding out for REI's fall "20% off 1 item" coupon that they tend to send out in November but worry that Wahoo will be specifically excluded from the promotion. Anyone know of any other site-wide deals going on that might allow for a Kickr? Obviously not expecting any kind of close out pricing but 10-20% off would be a good chunk of change on a $1200 unit.

I've got my Kinetic smart control rock and roll set up with zwift and a turnable riser now for a week. Tons of fun w/70" screen! You can lean and steer, it's pretty sweet. And if you're using Kinomaps leaning and steering is awesome...it was so realistic when some lady jumped out in front i hit the brakes and "swerved," LOL
