Blah.
NYC water is widely reported to be some of the best tap water in the country. Evian is "thick" and salty, I can't stand it. Aquafina and Dasani are two of my favorites, filtered tap. I guess I'm just that kind of guy. I have filtered RO water at my house. I like that just fine too.

It goes away after a while
^^^ What he said. ^^^

I would think that her body was also able to 'put it to work' faster since it didnt have to filter the sugar etc out of it, thus triggering the thirst system. Along the same lines as eating real food...you get hungry again after a few hours since it processes faster in your body.

i've heard that too, but i just don't believe it. it's not bad tasting, it's just not particularly good. plus it often looks terrible. at my old apartment in brooklyn it came out almost looking like diluted milk and then became clear a few minutes later sitting in the glass.

I'm not a plumber (but I play one on TV ). But I think that's usually due to calcium deposits in the pipes. Probably more attributable to your old building than the city. Even so, you would know better than me. I've only visited NYC (manny isle) never lived there.

Its like that everywhere in the city. My dad lives in Queens and works in Battery Park, checked out the water at both places before. It really is, as timmhaan said, like diluted milk when it first comes out.
