Cure For Numbness in Toes?

I’ve recently switched shoes due to the previous ones being damage in a crash. After about an hour, i have numbness in my big toes, sometimes including Somme of the other toes. If i get off the bike for a bit, it goes away, Bur, it comes back during the ride. Afterward, there’s no issues.

Any suggestions?

I actually got this on a ride recently, in shoes that I've ridden for thousands of miles with no issues at all.

Turns out my socks had snuck into the dryer and shrunk a little, and were too tight. I stopped mid-ride, took 'em off, stretched 'em out as best as I could, put 'em back on, and the rest of the ride was fine.

So short version, before anything else, try different socks.

I've had excellent results removing the straps on my shoes and installing laces. I can lace the shoes tighter without pressure points and ensure my foot isn't going to slide forward, cramming my toes. (I ride toes down naturally.)

You can get the grommets and everything else you will need at Tandy Leather. (Get the two piece brass grommets, not the aluminum ones. I drilled the holes but you can also get punches.)

Bontrager Ballista. A little narrow. I'm not sure what "low volume" is...

I've been using a shoe stretcher primarily on one side (the side that gets numb the quickest and most).
