Dailymile Replacement

Sadly, the decade-old, web-based logger is history... or will be, come March 20th. It's fortunate that the software includes a download/export facility, with output in CSV format. So, the big question is with what can I/we replace it? I'm looking for another web-based program -- no smartphone apps, nor anything requiring any version of Microsoft Windows. I don't need the ability to upload from a Garmin/Polar/etc. unit -- manual entry of time and distance are all that matter (even mapping routes is optional).

C'mon... show me what ya got.

Yeah, Strava. Pretty easy one to answer.

Nope -- not web-based.

Strava is a smartphone app in the same way facebook or your bank or any other web service with a mobile platform is a smartphone app.

It's online. You open a browser and go.

Or get out a rock and a piece of charcoal if you're really hellbent on employing archaic technology.

Love it when posters ask for advice and then argue about it because they don't know what they're talking about.

if you are getting a CSV file output, why dont you just open it as a spreadsheet, and store that on the cloud and then continue to add your time and distance to that ad-infinitum. seems like that is what you want and are used to.

Would Ride With GPS or Map My Ride work? I realize that they both have smartphone apps as well, but they've been around a bit longer than Strava and do not require any smartphone app to use.

Thanks for the update regarding Daily Mile; I used it a long time ago, and I think there's a few photos I might want to snag off there before it's gone for good.

If what you're after is a step back in time, then Bikejournal is still chugging along more or less.

Just an ordinary spreadsheet. It's probably quicker than any alternative. Leave it open. I use one, not for daily entry, but to keep track of maintenance, so that's where you'd do that also. Clothing and temperature. Route, Average speed. How you felt. Who you rode with.

Garmin Connect and Strava both have web browser options and allow manual entry of activities. No smartphones or windows required.

You can use Strava through their website and your browser. I've never had their app on any phone I've ever had, just send them the data and mostly ignore the analysis.

I use a quill pen. And since I have disc brakes, I just use the blood of my riding partners for ink.
