Sodium Phosphate

I recently read in Joe Friel's training bible about the possible benefits of using sodium phosphate loading to enhance race performance. However, the book was written in 96' and I was wondering if that is still legal. Also, has anyone heard anything else about the effects of this supplement?

Thanks,
Trevor

this was supposed to buffer the lactic acid and prevent its build up , but the effectiveness was never great and the stomach upset was incredible. the experiment died there.
like ingesting sodium bicarbonate or baking soda......
