I'm 6'1" and I weighed 135lbs when I got through hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Personally, I think you need to do some bulking up.

Try adding powerbars and protein shakes in between meals. Make sure you are eating enough calories. Add a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to each meal. Eat something every 2-3 hours regardless of whether or not you are hungry.

I'm underweight too.
I'm an embrassing 105 pounds and I'm 5'7".
I'm only 16 btw.
But I've actually gained weight just cycling. Because it makes you incredibly famished.
I used to be around 100 near April.
I actually don't get how people can lose weight cycling.
First you gotta load up the night before to make you got energy the next day. Then you're absolutely dying for food after the ride.

Don't worry about it. Being skinny is a medical condition called good health. You should have no problem riding distance, just add miles slowly.

Sound like a hard-gainer ... as in, you can eat almost anything but it won't stay on. Hard gainers are very receptive to weight training though ... it'll take more to start gaining, but you have to work less relateively to keep it continuing. 1 gram of protien for each lbs of muscle you want to have per day and make sure to do strength training in addition to cycling. Cycling will burn fat, but if you don't have any, it'll start using other stuff, like muscle mass. My personal regiment, 3 days of weight training, 4-5 days of cycling (to and from work) and then a fun weekend ride or two.

I just try and eat a good meal (at least a sandwich) before riding and eat frequently on the bike. Fig Newtons, small cookies, etc work really well for me to get in the calories. I also always try to eat and drink (sports drink) immediately after a ride to be sure my body has enough to refuel with.

Avoid the "eat McDonalds every day" plan. Did it for a 2months, back in HS, gained absolutely no weight. The solution: beer
Load up on protein and fatty meals, but don't kill your self eating a McProcessed Greasewhich every day.

I even consulted doctor about how to gain weight but in my opinion, i think it is the gene. Docs said there isnt any need for me to gain weight and just let it be. Then, i started to cut off those whey protein products(save the money for buying cycling gears instead) and eat like normal. I completely give up. I dont see anything wrong with skinny body and legs. Well, maybe you dont look nice when u put on the cycling jersey..lol and maybe, u arent able to sprint like those with lean muscles fella out there. Concentrate on hills. Just make 100% use of how your body looks like. Become a climber

Wow! Check out all the skinny dudes! I'm pretty slight too, at 5'9" and 127 lbs. Nothing I eat ever makes me fat. Cycling and lifting weights made me gain five pounds, but it is all muscle. If I stop exercising, I lose weight.
To address the OP, you really don't have any fat on you. I thought I didn't but you're taller and ligther than I am. If you go out and ride a long distance all of a sudden, your body will just start digesting your muscles to get the energy you need. If you were trying to lose fat, long, easy paced rides would be great, but you're not doing that. You need to get your muscles working hard so that they can bulk up.

Go to GNC, get some good quality weight gain shake, and start lifting weights everyday, or every other day, alternating upper and lower body workouts. Seriously, your weight sounds almost dangerously low for your height.

This has got to be the first "skinny" guy thread. Usually its quite the opposite. My wife said if I ever hit my goal of 150lbs. (5'7") that I'll be to skinny. All the online calculators say 147lbs. should be ideal for my height. You guys must look like holocaust survivors to be that tall and light.
Not sure which problem is worse. You have to pay extra for all that food to try and bulk up. I'm paying the hard way to slim down but at least I save money in the process.
