How many hours a week do you train??

Just curious as to how many hours other folks out there are training. (particularly XC racers) Over here in Korea I have no regular training partner and most people only ride for the heck of it but I consider most rides a training ride with some purpose. Most people have never even seen an HRM. I'm in my first year of MTB racing and most weeks do 6-10 hours depending. 3-5 hours aerobic, 1-2 hours pace riding, 30-40 minutes of intervals and about 20 minutes of sprint training. (on a good week) How about you?

Off season = ~5-6 hours
Pre and Post season = ~10-12 hours
On season = ~20-90 hours, depending on the events I'm doing

Right now, about 14-20 hours. I'll cut that back to 10-15 during the winter with indoor-training. During the next season, maybe 16-22 hours including the races.

About 12 hours per week on road. 3 hours of XC on Sundays.. There is no season here in malaysia. Dry all the year except now, raining season...

I figure it takes about 6-8 per week to maintain a some level of competitveness. But you probably need to bump that to 12-15 to gain the best possible edge.

Some of the answer depends on the length of the events you are attempting.

I don't "train" so much as just ride. Minimum 6 hours a week, average 8, sometimes as much as 12. I don't have a season or off-season, just ride year-round (sucks, I know )

Total time for biking, running, and lifting would be around 20-25 hrs/week, obviously this would change depending on where I am in acheving whatever goals I am striving for.
