Even Doctors have no real answers.

I have been struggling with a torn abdominal muscle since July. It is in the upper right quadrant and spasms and contracts when I put any exertion to it. Now I don't know if perhaps a nerve ending has been trapped in the healing process or some other explanation for the cramping. How long does this usually take to heal? I doesn't interfere too much with my riding, but I'm not 100% either. Advise, please.

Thanks,

Urbanmonk

Did you get check out really well? Make sure you don't have hernia? Even one that doesn't poke all the way through will be a problem.

There is no bulge, noticeable. The doc tested my gall bladder with ultra sound, upper and lower GIs for everything else. It just doesn't seem to be going away. It usually gives me problems after I eat a really big meal.

agree, something called acalculous cholecystitis ( gallbladder dysfunction without gallstones) is more common than gallstones causing sympotms. The only way to pick it up is to do a HIDA scan, the ultrasound and upper endoscopies can be completely normal. People get the Right upper quadrant pain after eating just like those with gallstones.
