New Trainer is here and I have questions
I am back, the newbie, pestering you all for help and advice.
It has turned winter here in South Dakota (Mid October) and I have not been abl to ride outdoors much since then. I purchased a Cyclops MagneatoTrainer, and am going to set it up tonight, and see what I am in for. From reading here and other places, it appears that trainers should be ridden with time in mind, and not miles. I do not have a problem with that, and am waiting for a spinervals DVD to get here. That being said, I set a goal when I bought my bike last fall, that in the year 2006 I would finish in the top 1/2 of the miles that people that log on to bike journal and track. It has since dawned on me that to accomplish this, I need to keep track of trainer miles. Is this something that would be accurate, or am I trying to hard? I have a vetta rt88 wireless moniter. Couldn't I just move it to the rear and spin away? What am I missing? Thanks for your thoughts. By the way it is 52 here today and I think I have to go out and ride. |
