Question for 1-Up six ball users

Is there anyone out there who can describe how much more resistance does using all six balls make? I'm using the factory set-up (medium resistance-three balls). I'm finding that the resistance varies in my biggest gear...even if I keep the same cadence, sometimes the resistance is more, sometimes less. I sort of like the unpredictable nature of that, but I'm thinking of sticking those other three balls in to increase the drag overall.
