Hi,
a local sport shop has a couple different stability balls for $20.
AN Iron Man and a Dyno Flex. I called the chain at the Mall, theirs
is thirty something, I forget the brand, it's about twice as much.

Is there much difference between brands, or does a particular brand stand out?

Man i've got a cheapo from Wally world... works fine! just the size is really all you need to pay attn to.

diff. dia. balls for diff. height persons.

THere is probably some subtle differences between the types of rubber being used. Some balls seem to use a very flexable rubber that seems to deform more when you put weight on it and looks like it would puncture more easily. Still I really don't think it matters that much, just make sure you put enough air in that you can sit on the ball and your knees make a right angle. Also avoid cutting brake and shifter cables into small pieces nearby. Those dratted little pieces of wire have popped two of my stability balls.

I had bad luck with a cheap ball ($15) not holding air. Later I bought a $35 ball, and it's been great ever since.. FWIW

Not really, though I just got a new ball that feels really good because it has small nipples all over the ball. Yowzers, it feels like a freakin massage!

Sounds kinky. What brand is it?

I got it at a fitness conference last month. I hope it's out on the market.

Don't be all nasty. ;) It's called "In Touch".

Koffee, any update on the "In Touch" stability ball? I searched the internet and could not find anything. I will be purchasing a 55cm in the next week or two. Sport's Authority carries one made by Gofit. I will check a couple of other places. Any suggestions please list.

Thanks, :)

Anybody had sex on one of those things yet. LOL

I found that the GoFit balls deform like mad. Thera-band makes a good sturdy ball that is used by PT's. It stays nice and tight and maintains shape (and more importantly size).
