How does this affect my training
I've been training for spring MTB races. However, I've had to take off the last week to work on my house (bathroom renovation, only bathroom, so unless I want to pee of the front porch I've got to get it done). Obviously I'm burning some calories lugging drywall and doing that type of work, but how badly should this affect my training?

Your aerobic fitness is probably down by 10% or so. Unless you're getting your heart rate up, you're losing aerobic fitness.
The good news is that you can get it back quickly, once you start training again. Just don't take off too long.
