Watt and heart rate basics

Hi

I'm trying to understand watt related to heart rates and have two questions, please only answer if you are sure of what you are writing is true, so no guesses ;-)

1)
After having ridden 1 hour my power is n Watt and my heart rate is x bpm, now a hour later my power output is still n Watt, is my heart rate still x bpm? (assuming same course conditions)

2)
I ride a course with an average of n Watt. Later being more fit, I ride the course again with an average of n Watt, my average heart rate is lower on the second ride, right?

Thank you

No to 1. As you fatigue, the amount of power that you generate for a given heart rate will be lower.

That's the basic reason training with power is better than training with HR.
