Has anyone tried Microhydrin for endurance? It was suggested to me. I don't really know what it is. Thanks

You know what helps endurance? Riding more. |
and eating more...

endurance
I ride 120-145 miles per week. I don't have the time or energy to ride any more than that!

If you don't have the energy to ride more than that, the best way to develop that energy is by gradually increasing your mileage while eating and drinking properly. Do 150 miles next week ... 155 the week after ... and so on. My mileage varies from some weeks in the winter where I don't ride at all (rest weeks and weeks where I'm too busy to ride), all the way to weeks in the summer where I do 750-800 miles. I've been doing that for 6 years now, and I've never had to use a product to increase my endurance. My endurance has come simply from cycling lots and pushing myself beyond my preconceived notions of what I could accomplish ... combined with a bicycle that fits, equipment that works, and a relatively decent understanding of what my body needs in the way of nutrition. |
I am curious about the product not because it has anything to do with the time I have to ride but to help increase my endurance. I like your suggestion to push myself more to gain endurance but I am looking for nutritional help additionally. I was told this product would help but I don't know anything about it.

Here's the scoop on supplements and athletic performance. They do not work. There are no legal magic pills that are going to replace hard work. None. You need to keep riding. If you are short on time, then get a book on cycle training and mix up your riding to do long rides, tempo rides, intervals, and recovery rides. All of these work together to make you a better cyclist.
Don't forget to allow for rest to allow your body to adapt and rebuild. Good luck. |
