HELP i think im ill

hi all,
i have been feeling by turns terrible, very tired, cold and sniffy and then ok just ab it dopey in the last few days mostly towards the end of training and directly after then i feel ok after my gym session later int he day.

BUT today i went out for my intervals and flew out then as soon as i hit the first int i was feleign crap, hr wouldn't go above 91% then on my second set not above 85% started feeling powerless and cold. COuld be 'cos i dint eat any brekkie because i was planning on doing turbo then breakfast but i melted the roller on the turbo so i went on the road instead! DOes the fact that i couldnt get my hr up and that i had no power and that i feel tired suggest illness or overtraining (i had a really hard weekend so this week has been light - mon recovery tues turbo weds 2hr recovery pace ride today intervals) i have a race next sunday 11th and i CAN't be ill!

any ideas/miracle cures?
PS my housemates are coughing retching sickly fat arses i try my best not to share any plates cutlery etc but im worried i got summat off them. I take vitc, zinc and a mulit vit. recently i have been dropping a bit of weight (not dieting but not forcing myself ot eat)

Hear, hear! The ability to effectively communicate your thoughts to others is so overrated.

BTW it should be "it's" above, not "its." Give up, already.

So, you've been feeling crappy but you decided to go out and do intervals anyway?

My guess is that you're sick. My advice is to stop punishing your body - whether you're sick or overtrained, you need to focus your energy on recovering. You're not going to make much improvement in the next 7 days anyway...

thanks for the tips. I felt really upset today, reading steinburg got me down and my housemates were pissing me off so ihave hopped on a train and come home from uni. got some good food in me (wholewheat pancakes with spinach cottage cheese and ham) gonna get some good sleep and a decent few meals in me that should help. Is there any point taking any multivits ( i've heard a massive vit c hit just as you feel ill helps?) i changed up my recovery nutrition and moved away from whey for a bit but i feel i should return to it as it is supposed to have immunosupportive properties.

I struggle to keep on weight as it is so going without breakfast was stupid especially considering ihave all day to train. I have been chilling in my room with incense today!

rest, rest and more rest ... vitamins can help if your resistance is low; which sounds like this is so ... else, you may have a case of the blues, with this seasonal affective disorder going around these days. i know i can get it if i'm not careful about diet and excercise.

Sorry, I would have replied with a meaningful answer but I honestly could not decifer what you were saying.

Also, "that" is optional in my sentence. Look it up.
