Yes, but in what country are you? Ingredients may vary with country.

OK. Simplest and best thing is no breakfast. Put some sports drink in a water bottle the night before. Favorite Canadian thing seems to be HEED from e-caps.com. If it's going to be a long ride, have a bottle of plain water in the fridge, too. Have a cup of coffee in the morning, grab a couple of bars and the bottle(s) and out the door. Start eating your first bar soon after you get on the bike. Have breakfast, if any, when you get back.

How about a serving of "Ensure"? 350 calories, balanced and fortified. It works very well for me, I just fire down a bottle before going out the door.

I make a quick smoothie with whatever fruit I have around (usually berries, and always with a banana), a cup of Kefir (liquid yogurt) and 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed. I sometimes add in blackstrap molasses for some sweetness, or mix in some cranberry juice. I also sometimes mix in some wheatgrass and/or spirulina, to turn it the nastiest color green you've ever seen. Add a couple of ice cubes, blend it all up and drink it down.

If you're only riding for an hour, you don't need to eat anything beforehand. Eat breakfast when you get home.
However, if you insist, a bottle of Ensure is perfect (the 15-second breakfast). Or a bagel (fits in a jersey poscket!) Or a glass of milk. All would be good.

Someone rate my breakfast from this morning please.
One low carb high fiber carb balance whole wheat wrap of which I put in some:
2 hard boiled eggs (egg whites only)
handful of spinach
one small ripe avacado
2 tablespoons of mild old el paso salsa
loads of black pepper
Oh, and a banana afterwards.
I've been crosstraining during my lunch hour at work with some running and I needed some extra energy.
What do you think?

When I exercise strenuously shortly after rising and before breakfast, I just eat a large spoonfull or two of high fruit content fruit preserves and drink a large amount of water. I want fast conversion to blood sugar and glycogen while exercising. Anything else, save for a gell, would digest too slowly and I would feel low on energy the rest of the morning even after a whole grain/fruit based breakfast.

2 Flax Waffles + Peanut Butter + Honey = Great mix of fast and slow burning carbs
That and some tea and I am good to go. If I am going to be doing a fast distance ride I will double this.

I make a whey shake with 1/4 cup of oats and eat a banana. It's been working well. After riding, I eat a bowl of oatmeal or eat a power bar, granola bar, etc.
