Train for a Century in 6 Weeks ... possible?

I've been riding for years but usually average only 1/2 hour - 1 hour/5 days a week. i feel confident i could ride comfortably (cardio and stamina) for 2 hours without much problem (i also lift and do yoga so i'm in pretty good shape). can someone suggest a 5-day/week training schedule that will shape me up for a century in 6 weeks?

Find one of those 10 week programs on the Bicycling.com website and lob off the first 4 weeks.

There is a 4 week century training plan.

Anyone who has spent any good amount of time on a bike can finish a century. I just did one on Sat and there were many 15mph average 50+ year old women who probably never do more then 7-10 hours on a bike during an average week who completed it.

The best advice I can give is 1) do not push it. It's like climbing a hill, if you push to hard early on you'll die later on. Keep your cadence up and stay at a good pace 2) keep yourself fueled. If you do not eat enough you'll either not complete it or be seeing stars when you do. I prefer only jell or powerade during a ride. Liquids get into your system faster and you do not risk over eating and getting a sour stomach.
