Magnesium supplements as mentioned above and hamstring/calf muscle stretching did the trick for me.

Stretching will help a lot. Stretch longer and that should help also. Don't overdue the stretch, but hold the stretch longer.

Yeah the stretching. I found those quick 30 second stretches you see in aerobics classes did nothing for me. Rather, while watching TV or something, I hold a gentle stretch for perhaps 10-15-20 minutes and that makes a world of difference.

+1. I'm 34 and I get leg cramps if I forget to take my magnesium for a couple of days.
