Exercise-induced nausea, especially in cold weather?

My wife has been getting really nauseous when she rides hard in the cold weather. It seems to happen almost immediately, as soon as she starts pushing the pace, and then the sick feeling lasts the rest of her ride. And it only happens when the temps drop below 50 F.

Any ideas what might cause this? She thinks she's having a heart-attack!

Drinking enough water? You may be sweating a bit less, but water needs are still high. Pushing too hard before she warms up a bit? Too many layers, and is baking away under them?

Ask the doc yet?

How much did she eat before or during the ride?

How much did she drink before or during the ride? Even in cold weather you still sweat quite a bit and need to drink.

However, she might want to drop in to her Dr. and get a physical, and possibly arrange for an ECG and maybe a lung test ... wouldn't hurt!
