numbness in leg
 

So, not using BikeForums as a second choice or anything like that (already asked question on beginnertriathlete and got no response) :p I have a question for anybody that might have an answer or dealt with a similar issue...

My girlfriend for the past week has been getting a numbness in her lower left leg, like the calf on down to the foot. It only happens for 5 seconds or so, each time she gets up from sitting down. She says if she stands for a while, that it comes back again for another 5 seconds or so! Any ideas on this? I've never heard of anything like it! She's made a doctors appointment, so hopefully they'll be able to help. I just thought I'd see what you all thought.
