Prolotherapy for knees?

I wonder if anyone here has any experience with this? It's the kind of thing that sounds really kooky at first, but who knows? ... chiropractic is distrusted by some, but I've found it helpful.

Prolotherapy is a non-surgical alternative for things like meniscus and ligament problems. It involves injections of "irritants" into the ligaments, which supposedly stimulates inflammation and then growth of new tissue.
