given that you're doing "extreme riding" I don't understand why "XTREME!" packaging would bother you. good luck in your search. google :best deodorant for athletes or something.

arm & hammer advance. works for me. i really like how it's scentless, so you still smell like a normal human being, without the BO.

Arm and Hammer Ultra Max Invisible Solid (its in a yellow stick). It has Aluminum Zirconium Tetrachlorohydrex Glycine in it and its the ONLY thing that works for me. Its amazing stuff....so much so that when I see it in a store, I buy at least 8-10 sticks. I feel a little strange in the checkout, but hey.....having deodorant that works is important to me! The bonus is that its always one of the less expensive sticks-

Mitchum works for me - and it was about the only thing that did - other than vinegar. I don't use anti-perspirants before rides though.

Try Axe Products. Also, get the "Man-Spray". Its a body spray deodorant, and when you sweat, it smells like the spray. This inaddition to the anti-perspirant, works good.

I also used the rocks. They don't keep me from sweating but I have zero BO. Even with antiperspirants I could never go for a ride and then do any sort of normal activity afterwards without showering first, which meant I had to take it easy on the commute or risky being stinky by noon. Since I started using the rocks I can push myself in the mornings and not have to worry. I would definitely try one out and see if it works for you.

Yea it works pretty good on BO. But the sweating part, well thats just what our body does, let it. It cools the body down and helps release toxins out of the body through the largest organ of our body, our skin.

I use these too. I haven't used "anti-perspirants" for years. Before the crystal thingy, I used Mennen deoderant, but I'm trying to get away from as many chemicals as I can, including fragrances.

I use plain aluminium chlorohydrate in a water/alcohol base. No perfume added. Just the anti-perspirant. One application keeps me dry and odourless for 3-4 days, even with daily riding in hot weather.

Certain Dry. Use it before bed and it clogs your pores and you will produce less sweat. I sweat like crazy and this is the only stuff that has ever worked for me. Then just put a normal antiperspirants on in the morning.

Haven't used them in 40 years. They just make you smell worse. Seems to be some sort of feedback loop. Bag Balm has a certain cachet, though. Any of the lineaments are good, too. I mean . . . you're standing next to a person of the appropriate sex at the office and you catch a whiff of Atomic Balm. Wouldn't you want to know more?

+2 (or3) for deodorant stone...don't want to rub any unnecessary chemicals on my body, especially close to glands that could absorb those chemicals

Uhm, no... They make you NOT smell. That's the whole idea. And they work just fine.

Don't wear antiperspirants on rides. It prevents you from sweating and you overheat easier.

i use the stuff that contains mineral salts .. either from the raw stone .. to a 'liquid' roll-on ...

works good for the smell issue ... but still lets your body sweat as it needs to ...
