Oh the pain, tendonitis? Pinched nerve?

I've had lower back pain for quite some time, but have ridden regardless... but for the past few months I've had a new pain that is much worse and completely takes my mind away from the lower back pain. This pain is on the left side only, it is in my butt muscle/hip area, hammy area, calf, achilles, and top of my foot area... it's a very deep and frustrating ache... I had been riding intensely, but I stopped riding altogether, except gently to commute to work, and the pain seems to be just as bad with no improvement for perhaps a month now. It's very depressing, anyone had a similar experience, or might know what I could do to get better?
